September 16 and 17 appeared to be the most useful weekend for the media business people. There was a real immersion to the life of gloss and creativity, arranged by boutique mall Colibri together with Buro 24\7. Alena Doletskaya, an Editor-in-chief of VOGUE Russia and Interview, presented the author's course “glossy journalism”. Alena visited Almaty with her colleagues and girlfriends: Natalia Chernova — a Specialist in media projects and Victoria Morozovskaya — an Art director.
For two days residents of the metropolis absorbed knowledge with bated breath. Besides the theory, lecturers recalled funny stories from the past, shared their successes and failures, analyzing every successful media case. But the most important point of the course was master classes, where participants presented the homework — their own media projects. The project plan had to be developed in a week and merchandised to the teachers. It was evaluated from the concept of the publication and visual design to the investment potential. During the breaks, guests were greeted by a gastronomic delight from Colibri Gastromarket. As for Alena, despite the “strict regime”, she managed to run through the local designer’s boutique and grab some new items from the latest collections.
